Ethan gently placed Evangeline into the passenger seat, stabilizing her head and buckling her in. "I'm going to the Xavier Hospital, if you can get there. We seem to be the only people who are acquainted to her, that are here." he quickly said to Light as he got into his car, "Hold on..." he allowed the beast to purr as he went into reverse. "...Hopefully they can help." He sighed as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"I have no time for this..." he grunted as he turned down a back road due to traffic, "it's still early no children are out." he focused onto the roads before him as he sped through the winding dips and hills. "Hold on!" he yelled as he drifted along a sharp curve, finally arriving at the Hospital's property. Ethan didn't care where he parked, he rushed over to the passenger seat to see Evangeline not moving. "You're not dying in my car." he growled as he unstrapped her taking her into his arms. Moving across the lot, he kicked the emergency door's handicap button. "Help?!" he voice echoed throughout the busy facility. "Sir you're going to have to wait."
"Telling me to wait?! This is an ER."
"Sir, we're having a busy day." the woman spoke not taking her eyes from her paper work.
"My name is Ethan Christian McCoy, if you do not get your ass on the move I'll have you deported!" his grip tightened around Evangeline, as the woman looked up at him.
"McCoy? Related to..."
"Tristan Matthews Xavier is my father. Now come on!" he growled his final words. Finally the woman moved from her seat to call in the doctors and a stretcher. "Evangeline, you're going to be alright. Hold on." he breathed as he wiped the hair from her face.
"You're going to have to stay here." a man told Ethan; he knew the procedure, sit in the massive room hoping to hear good news. But that wasn't the case those many years ago...

The hospital, owned by his father who was also the head surgeon, was packed to the brim...but that didn't stop the paramedics from rushing into the facility. "We have crash victims, both severely injured and need emergency procedure." The woman spoke, her voice sturdy and collected.
"Who are the victims?" the woman from behind the counter asked.
"The Xaviers..." an officer spoke as he walked into the ER with a six year old Ethan, who was dumbfounded.
"Am I going to work with my dad?! Did he send the police to get me? Wow, this is cool!" Ethan jumped up and down, not noticing everyone's grimace expressions.
"Yes Ethan...soon." the officer spoke "Why don't you go sit down over there." he lead Ethan to an empty corner of the waiting room, sitting him down. Hours past and Ethan was still swinging his feet reading his Dr. Seuss book that his parents read him before bedtime every night. "I am gonna see Daddy..." he sang to himself. The doors opened and in walked the McCoy family, Ethan's aunt and uncle with worried looks upon their face. Ethan's aunt, Lily, walked over to Ethan her expression changing as she saw him. "Aunt Lily! I am gonna see daddy!" Ethan said excited, "Why are you here? Are we goin out to dinner?" His aunt looked at her husband, Keith, who was about to sit next to Ethan until he turned to see the doctor walk out from the OR. That is when everything began to go downhill. Keith's face went white, as his fists clenched...he began to choke, but Ethan didn't know why. A single tear rolled down his face, and Lily knew at that moment, tears beginning to flow down her soft cheeks. "Aunt Lily? Why are you crying?"
She stood up and stepped away from Ethan as Keith knelt in front of him. "Ethan...you're not going to see your daddy." he choked. Ethan looked at him confused, "What do you mean? Where is my daddy." Suddenly, a man walked into the room.
"Why couldn't you save them? He was the top man of this hospital! Xavier deserved a better fate than this." he stalked through the ER, as his eye caught Ethan's. "No..."
"Deserved a better fate? What does that man mean, Uncle Keith?" Ethan's eyes began to water, but he didn't know why. "Uncle...Keith why are you crying, where is my daddy?!" he screamed as he pushed past his uncle and ran through the crowd. "Ethan! Wait!!"
"Daddy! Daddy where are you?!" he looked in all the rooms until he saw doctors cleaning up, "They know where he is." he said with hope as he went in. They turned just as the door closed and Ethan's life came to an end. "Why are you covering Daddy? Why is he covered in paint?" Ethan asked as he walked up to the table. "Mommy's playing too? he turned to see his mom who was paler than her husband. Everything hit Ethan at once..."You only cover people when they're dead. Better fate..." before Ethan could say anymore his uncle pushed the door open, "are my mommy and daddy dead?" Ethan choked out, but he already knew the answer. Tears streaming down his young face, his legs gave out as he collapsed onto the floor crying with all he had. "N-n-n-n-nooo...M-m-mommy...Da-daddy!" he yelled as he pushed away from his uncle.

Ethan sat in the same spot, he did when his parents passed away. "...fate." his eyes began to water as he hung his head. "Leaving me...at such a young age. I won't allow that to happen every again." his voice shook, as he covered his face with his hands.
